Ɓυввℓєѕ stood near the door of her office. Having spent most of her Sunday morning fixing up the mess in the apartment from the burglary, she had needed to get out of the house, and chose to take advantage of one of the rare times that Nick wasn't busy in the office and enlist his help with moving the heavy furniture and getting her office finished so she could look a little more professional and start taking on cases. Leaving all the heavy lifting to Nick she would just direct him where things needed to go. "I don't want it to look too cluttered baby.... And careful you don't chip the paint!"

Nick looked up from the desk he was pushing along the floor and lifted an eyebrow, though with his shades on he doubted she could see his expression. "Don't worry I won't be chipping any paint.  You know I should get Alice in here to do this...she's probably stronger then me." He grinned then as he went back to positioning furniture.  He wondered if Bubbles was still on edge about the scene that had gone on the day before between them and the vampire.  Up until now she's been silent about it.

Lani Dagger walked with an easy sway of hips that was simply natural. Her gait was purposeful, movements done to the maximum efficiency. She made little to no noise when she moved, whether she wore boots or heels. Long elegant fingers pulled the piece of paper from her pocket and emerald hues looked over the small script once more, before she came to a stop at the door. The paper was placed back into her pocket, while her eyes moved now to the building, looking through the glass. A delicate brow lifted slightly as she saw the movement within. Fingers curled into her hand and raising her fist, she rapped her knuckles lightly against the door.

Ɓυввℓєѕ gave him a sideways grin as he glanced up at her. She knew he hated it when she bossed him around, but he did love showing off being the big strong man, so she was more than happy to let him do all the heavy lifting and decided not to nag at him any more. Chuckling softly at his comment about Alice before a slight frown spread across her face as her mind wandered back to the events of yesterday. It had taken her a while to regain her strength and she'd been quiet and withdrawn for the rest of the evening. Not only with thoughts of the break in, or the vampire almost draining Nick dry, but also at the use of her magic. It had been 6 years since her family was killed in the war, since she went into hiding - and since she'd used any magic. And even then it was only childish spells and tricks, never strong magic. Having never trained any of her abillities, and not even knowing if she COULD use them, until yesterday, when she was given no other choice. Heal her Love or let him fade away. But the feeling aside from the weakness it had caused. It was a feeling she couldn't describe. Like she enjoyed it. She knew right after, that it was a feeling she wanted to feel again. Like the first taste of water after being in a desert, or the first taste of food after a famine. She was snapped back to reality with a start as there was a rapping on the glass of the door and she turned to who could be knocking. Peering through the glass she could just make out a woman, of slight build and a delicate frame, the light reflecting from her bright hair. Bubbles moved toward the door, pulling it open. "Hi there Miss. How may I help?"

Nick  frowned when his cell phone buzzed in his jacket pocket and he straightened up and moved to the corner.  He had been trying to get through to the states for the past two days and he hoped it was the call he had been waiting for.  Accepting the call, he turned his back to the office and answered with a mumbled hello before he fell silently, listening to who was on the other side of the line.  Hearing the knock, he glanced over his shoulder briefly before he moved even further into the corner.

Lani Dagger slipped a smile to her lips, as someone started toward the door. Once it was opened, she looked over the woman behind it, with a slow intensity that left no doubt she was sizing her up. Tilting her head slightly, just a touch of a frown against her brow, she spoke with a soft raspy voice. " I was looking for Nick Courtois... I was told this was his office. " She didn't try to look past or even move from where she stood in front of the door. For the moment, just content with speaking to the woman at the door.

Alice had gotten the paperwork together for her boss and texted him asking where he was. These were documents he had to sign for a client and she atleast wanted to get them finished pronto so he wouldn't snap at her. Alice was wondering as well if the two had recovered from her feeding off of them. Finding out his location, Alice walked the short distance then blinked seeing a woman she did not know. Sniffing the air she smelled her blood but wasn't hungry so she shrugged leaning her head attempting to wave to Bubbles when she answered the door. "Hi Miss Bubbles...is bossman there?"

Ɓυввℓєѕ looked the woman over, squinting slightly as the light glared behind her. There was something about her. Bubbles could sense she wasn't human. "Actually this is my office. I'm his girlfriend. Bubbles DeLaney.." She reached out, offering a handshake to the woman, and if accepted would shake the womans hand lightly and very briefly. "And you are...?" As she questioned the woman, she saw Alice approaching and gave her a polite nod as she answered her question. "Yeah he's inside but..." She glanced back over his shoulder to confirm if he was still on the phone. "He's on a call right now. Come on in and wait... Both of you." She would step aside and hold the door open for both of the women to enter

Nick scowled as he listened ot the idiot on the other end of the line give him excuses and he decided he'd had enough, "Okay look, when he can get around to calling me I suggest 'he' call me and not some lackey who has no clue what is what, got it.  So write this down - I only take direction from him, so when he can fit me in his schedule he can give me a call. I don't play phone tag." Hanging up the phone he raked his fingers along his scalp, then turned back towards the office and those who had appeared.

Lani Dagger lifted her brow even further now. The tilt of her head made her ivory hair sway against her shoulder and along her back. There was a touch of a genuine smile curving the corner of her lips, as she repeated " Bubbles.... " Her and would reach out and grasp the offered hand, her own grip was strong, yet she released Bubbles' hand when she took it back. She stepped back to let the other woman who had come along, enter before her, with an elegant wave of her hand. " After you, Miss... " For a moment, she considered if perhaps it would be better to come at a later time, but she gave a slight shrug to herself and would step in after the other woman, if she did.

Alice perked up a little seeing the Fae was alright and gave a little smile nodding her head, slowly walking through not to bump into anyone. "Thank you Miss." She sees Nick and heads over to him holding the documents she'd put in a folder to keep them neat. "Sir, I have some papers I need your signature on if that is alright." She lifted up the folder to hand it to him to glance over if he wished.

Ɓυввℓєѕ raised an eyebrow as the woman shook her hand but never responded when asked for her name, but still smiled politely as she walked past her. Bubbles frowned a little as she overheard the tail end of Nick's conversation but chose not to question him about it. She never did. She had her suspicions about how he'd got the position he was in, and why. But some things are better left alone. She watched as the women entered the building and once again held out her hand, motioning toward the sofa. "Take a seat if you'd like." She addressed the white haired woman as Alice had already made her way over to Nick. AAlice handed the papers to Nick, Bubbles caught a glimpse of the bands on her wrists and it again brought back thoughts of yesterdays events and all of a sudden, images of Alice's face and hands covered in Nick's blood, flashed in Bubbles eyes, making her stomach churn. She squeezed her eyes shut tight but the visions didn't go away at all and she knew that right now, she didn't feel like she could be in the same room as Alice. She glanced over at Nick with a furrowed brow and spoke quietly, "I'm not feeling so great, I think I'm gonna head home and lay down." Keeping her eyes on Nick hoping no one would ask for more of an explanation than what she'd given.

Nick Courtois (nichollas.courtois) dropped his phone back in his jacket pocket, then wiggled his fingers at Alice impatiently so he could sign the papers.  Slipping a pen form his other pocket, he opened the folder and flipped through the pages, scribbling a quick signature while occasionally glancing up at the woman who had entered the office.  "Who's that??" he muttered to Alice before he looked ot Bubbles with a look of concern, but only the frown on his lips could be seen since his eyes were behind his shades. "Okay baby, I will be there to check up on you later."

Lani Dagger stayed close to the door actually leaning against the wall near the water cooler, for the moment, her arms crossing over her chest. She was dressed about as casual as one could get, which was an oddity with the two women in heels and pretty dresses, but that didn't bother her in the least. Watching the three, she was interested in the play of expressions that moved across their features, listening to the inflection in their voices, and the looks in their eyes. She gave a slight wiggle of fingers at Nick when he looked in  her direction, but seemed content to wait where she was, only pushing away from the wall when Bubbles made her comment to leave. " I hope you feel better soon, Miss DeLaney. "

Alice heard Bubbles, cutting her eyes at her and frowning wondering if it ws her fault she was leaving. Even though she was a bloodsucker, over the years she didn't like doing it infront of people anymore. Alice tried not to let it bother her for the moment since she was here on business for Nick and snapped back hearing him. "I don't know...I've never seen her Sir.." She lowered her voice before the girl got close enough to hear. "Take care Miss Bubbles..." Looking back over to the woman she smiled again with human teeth bowing her head. "I'm sorry Miss...this shouldn't take long, then I'll be out of the way." Wasn't sure if she should even really go anywhere yet until instructed to by her boss since she didn't know this woman yet.

Ɓυввℓєѕ nodded gently and gave Nick a loving smile avoiding eye contact with Alice and nodding politely at the other woman before quietly excusing herself and leaving the office to head home.

Nick finished up signing the papers then handed the folder back to Alice, before he again look at the woman standing near the wall.  He assumed since Bubbles had left that the woman hadn't been here to see her.  Stepping forward, he looked the woman over boldly, "I'm sorry, I don't think we've met, I'm Nick Courtois...and I'm assuming you're looking for me.  Yes?"  He hadn't extended his hand or made another gesture as he waited to hear what the woman had to say.  He wasn't a person known to be very open and transparent.

Lani Dagger sported an amused smile. It was always entertaining to see how people tried to find out who she was. A name. Such a small thing, and yet with such power for some. Yes, her earlier omission of her name had been deliberate. Yet she had been polite other than with that one small thing. She had only moved to open the door for Bubbles, then had returned to her position against the wall, near the cooler. Once Nick addressed her, that amused smile returned. " Yes, actually, I am here looking for you Mr. Courtois. We have some mutual acquaintances and they told me you were here in the city. I make it a point to meet those that will be working for me.... "

Alice takes the folder back once he's signed it and watches from behind him what plays out. She knew atleast when to stay quiet and pretended to look through her phone not paying attention. She was curious about this woman since she still hadn't said who she was and that aggitated Alice. Sniffing more she tried to pick up on if the woman was human or not wanting to be prepared.

Nick watched her curiously, then smiled, "Acquaintances huh? In that case, we'll return to my office and have a sit down.  I prefer being in familiar surroundings, I'm sure you understand."  Turning his head slightly to the left, he addressed his assistant, "Alice, why don't you go ahead and get some brewed up for our guest to drink.  He turned back to the woman and motioned for the door, "Shall we?"

Lani Dagger turned her gaze on the woman that was left in the office with them. Her emerald hues where hard, much like the rock that they resembled. The amused smile shifting just slightly to a cold twist of lips. That look would transfer to Nick for the moment, There would be nothing any supernatural would get from her except that steady beat of her heart and the warmth from her body. She was for all intents and purposes human. There was no glamour of any kind surrounding her, nor any spells, at least not at the moment. Fingers tapped against her arm, where she had them crossed, " I don't need anything to drink, thank you. After you, since you know where we are going and I do not. " Her smile was still that same cold curve of lips, as she watched them both, and made the same gesture she had for Alice when they had come in.

Alice turned her head agreeing with her boss and stepped towards the door. "Yes Sir, right away....oh as you wish Ma'am. Sir I will put some on for you if you like...not too fond of coffee myself." She chuckled putting on a cheerful demeanor. Thanks the lady as she walks passed and checked her phone to make sure the security cameras were on just in case. The woman was human that much she could smell but that stare and smile made her on edge.

Lani Dagger was indeed a big girl, lips twitched as she watched the two ahead of her, eyes narrowed slightly. She walked with her arms still crossed over her chest, only uncrossing them to close the door to Bubbles' office, behind her once she exited the building. There was no rush to her own steps as she moved behind Nick and Alice. Taking advantage of their turned backs to continue to look over them in that way that made most people feel like she was looking beyond the skin. Entering the second building she lifted a delicate brow, " Interesting... " was all she said for the moment, as she took in the decor.

Alice finished making the coffee then went to sit down to put the folder in her filing drawer for later. "Sir would you like me to make you a cup?" Alice glanced to him then to the lady. "You said you didn't wish for anything miss right?" She tilted her head as her icy blue eyes fixed on her and gave her a stone smile of her own. Standing up as her body moved from behind the desk to lean her hip against the edge waiting for her boss' reply.

Nick walked through the door with his usual confident stride and he didn't stop in the sitting area but made his way back to his own desk.  Removing his shades, he raked his fingers along his scalp once more, ten tossed the glasses down carelessly. "I'll take a cup Alice and then you can make sure I'm not disturb."  Sitting down he'd wait for the woman and would instruct Alice to shut the door once she delivered the coffee and the woman was inside the small sound proof room. "Have a seat."

Lani Dagger actually chuckled softly, at Alice as she returned the cold look. " I never drink anything I don't make myself, love, but thanks in any case. " Letting Alice take it how ever she wanted to. Lani was not a warm and fuzzy person. People did not have a tendency to like her. She was ok with that. That didn't mean she couldn't show empathy and warmth, she just reserved that for a very select few. Following Nick, she looked around the office space once more, before taking the offered chair, yet wouldn't say much more than a " Thank you. " until the doors were closed for the last time. " Is this room sound proof?" She could see the materials the office was made of, but unless the insulation followed suit with the outside, it didn't mean anything.

Alice tries not to let her eye twitch at the woman's words but it did make sense if she were in her shoes so she nodded her head going to the coffee to fix Nick a cup with what he liked in it or not. She layed a small spoon next to it with two sugar cubes incase he liked sugar. Walking into the office after them she sat the coffee down on his desk next to him. "I shall return to my desk then Sir." She bows her head to them and steps out closing the door behind her..

Nick with the door shut, Nick's demeanor changed some and the light pleasantries he displayed earlier faded.  Leaning back in his chair, he set a hand on the desk and his fingers drummed on it once as he eyed the woman openly. "Of course it's sound proof, what would be the point of me wanting to hang out in here like some fuckin zoo animal.  And for the future, i would advise you say nothing in front of my 'assistant', she a blood sucker and I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her.  She's serves me, but not willingly.  Same for Bubbles, though not that I don't trust her, but because she doesn't need to know certain things.  So, consider me the only person you speak to when you have something of importance to convey.  Now, what is it you'd like to discuss?"

Lani Dagger narrowed her eyes dangerously, leaning back into the chair, her hands on the chair arms now. The tip of her tongue tapped lightly against the piercings along her lower lip, while he went on. The information gained by his speech only making her frown deepen even further. Waiting patiently till he was done, she looked at her nails, swung her leg, as it was crossed over her knee and otherwise seemed annoyed. " Lets get things clear here. I am not the one fraternizing with the 'others' so I would appreciate if you checked your tones and your reproofs, I know better than anyone how to keep from saying anything remotely revealing to 'them'. Second I am here to take over all Hunters in the area, as well as the police station. I am the new Chief of Police. From now on you will be reporting to me directly and I want full accounts on any and all of 'them' that you know about. If I find out you are holding back on me, Mr. Courtois, it will NOT go well for you. " The smile that crossed her lips now was predatory, it would have made any vampire or dark fae proud. But she was simply human, and unfortunately for them, one that tended to hunt them down. " Am I making myself clear?"

Alice watched the two through the glass out the corner of her eye as she tapped away on the computer focusing on her work but checking on them every now and then. She didn't know what was being said and that aggravated her. Alice did notice that lady's change in posture seeing she didn't seem happy and that atleast put a smile on her face making her giggle.

Nick listened, occasionally nodding, it was all for show of course, since the wall was glass, anyone looking in would think the conversation was a simple exchange of information and not what was actually going down and that was a sparring of words and warnings as well as two people testing each others trustworthiness.  When the woman was through, Nick chuckled to himself then leaned forward, settling his arms on the desk.  Thoughtlessly, he reached out and tapped at the keyboard of his laptop, then met the woman's gaze squarely.  "I assure you, any 'fraternizing' taking place has a purpose and will serve me well later on down the line.  When I was assigned here, I wasn't exactly sure what was needed of me but I'm willing to do what I have to do.  I never leave my debts unpaid.  You can trust me, my loyalties are with me and my kind.  I hold no love for the supernaturals.  You need proof?  My girlfriend, the new defense attorney for Mystic Cove, she's a fae.  She's untrained in her skills and has been hiding out as a human for years.  I only recently discovered it myself a few weeks ago.  I have her believing I am willing to keep her little secret and for now I'd like it kept as a secret.  As a defense attorney I am sure she's going to be eager to defend her kind and I have a feeling my knowledge can help me smoke out her kind quicker, if I play along..."  He settled back in the chair and smiled, "See, I'm an open book and completely on your side."

Lani Dagger seemed to relax against the chair, her fingers still drummed against the arm chair and if he was familiar with music he would notice that it was actually a piece of a concerto, and more specifically it was the violin piece. Lani was very different, more than most people ever got to see. " Good, I appreciate your truthfulness, however, I will require one more thing. I do hope you understand my need for caution, Mr. Courtois. " Her head tilted ivory hair spilled over her features for a moment, before her hand lifted to push the thick mass back out of her area of vision. " I will need a blood sample from you, collected by myself of course. Just to make sure you haven't been turned..  I applaud your efforts so far and will not interfere as long as I get regular reports. I will also toss any relevant crimes in your direction, "

Alice was growing impatient wanting to know what was going on but kept her expression neutral. She knew her boss wouldn't give her the truth on what they discussed and she had no place to ask. Trying to keep herself busy, Alice read through some documents crossing her legs as she leaned back in her overstuffed chair making her chest bounce. Taking another glance in their direction she saw the woman relax sinking into the chair and raised an eyebrow but quickly went back to reading not wanting to be caught gawking.

Ɓυввℓєѕ sat restless in the armchair, fidgeting and shifting around uncomfortably. She had tried laying down and taking a nap but every time she closed her eyes, all she could see were flashes of Alice's face smeared with blood. She needed air, but she refused to open the any windows after the break in so after slipping her shoes back on, she head for the front door. Not intending on going far, only leaning against the railing at the bottom of the steps. But she noticed movement in Nick's office out of the corner of her eye and as she turned, she saw Alice sitting at her desk and with a squint, noticed NIck in his office with what looked like the woman from earlier. She dragged her fingers through her hair to tidy it up a little and made her way down the steps into the office, again avoiding eye contact with Alice as she pushed the door open and entered, looking toward Nick through the tinted glass.

Nick nodded again and was pleased that the two seemed to find a common understanding. "Of course, I have no issue with you testing my blood.  Just say when and where and I'm there, unless you want to do it here, I can darken the tint on the windows, it's a cool little feature I figured might come in handy time and again."  Glancing out the window he spotted Bubbles enter the office and for a moment he felt a twinge of guilt.  He knew he'd have to play his cards well from here on out, though he wasn't one of the best prosecutors around because he lacked the skills to argue and twist things so they worked to his advantage.

Lani Dagger rested her elbows on the chair, steepling her fingers over her lap. She looked for all intents and purposes as if she were sitting on a throne, speaking to her subjects. Legs crossed, which she swung softly every so often, she smiled nodding in understanding. Her keen green eyes were focused on his face this whole time, she made it a point to study people's expressions, even to the smallest of movements. When his eyes drifted out to the office beyond, and his expression changed, she followed it to where it led. Lifting a brow as she caught sight of Bubbles coming in. A soft chuckle left her lips " Mr. Courtois. I am not fully against relationships with " Others'  I would be a hypocrite if I tried to enforce that. I do recommend caution however. I believe these supernaturals need to understand we are not food, we are a power to be be respected as well and they need someone outside of themselves to police them. They become to complacent, when they have no one to watch over them. I am harsh for a reason. I   have seen more than you would ever care too. " Standing she moved to the desk, leaning slightly against it, to hold out her hand to him. " I am Iolani Amitiel Armistice. You man call me Lani. I will let you know about the blood test. We are already giving your women plenty to talk about, without tinting your glass. " There was a touch of amusement in her last words.

Alice snapping her gaze up from her papers she saw Bubbles walk in. Noticing where she was looking, Alice coughed sitting up straight. "I'm afraid he's in a meeting with the lady right this moment Miss Bubbles...My apologies." She realized the fae was avoiding looking at her and she knew why. "I don't blame you for not wanting to look at me if that makes you feel any better...I don't like doing that infront of people...I should've waited." She blurted out without thinking that was appropriate to say or not

Ɓυввℓєѕ smiled as Nick glanced toward her, She could have sworn she saw an odd look flash across his face but couldn't put her finger on what it was, and didn't really think too much of it. She noticed the woman looking fairly relaxed in the chair opposite him and figured they might be discussing a case or something to do with work. As Alice spoke, Bubbles turned her head towards the vampire a little, still unable to look her in the eye but at least glancing in her direction. She nodded. Supposing it was humiliating enough for a vampire to have to apologize for feeding. But seeing the life literally drain from her partners face and watching him fade whilst his blood was consumed, is not something she could easily forget - or forgive. Apology or not. She nodded but didn't speak and as she cats her gaze back to Nick's office she saw the woman stand and offer a handshake, indicating the end of the meeting. Bubbles made her way to the couch and perched herself on the arm, to wait.

Nick rose from his chair and took the woman's hand while grinning.  "Nice to meet you Lani.  A pleasure and thank you for the advice, I will mind it well." Releasing her hand, he pulled out the drawer of the desk and took out a card. "Here's my contact information, it has my personal cell number on it, so you can reach me whenever you need to.  I appreciate you sending me some business and look forward to a productive relationship." Handing the card over, he would make his way to the door, knowing it would only open to him and he sprung the lock, it could be heard faintly and he held the door open for her, smiling in a pleasant manner. "It's been a pleasure. If you are in need of any of my services, I can be located here at my home office or the courthouse. Good luck and congrats on your new position."

Lani Dagger would grasp Nick's hand with that same firm shake that she had given Bubbles earlier. The back of her hand held a series of scars, that up close would clearly be seen was letters and equations of some sort. Where from far away they seemed like tattoos, up close it was clear that they were a series of elaborate burns, that ran the entirety of her exposed skin, perhaps even more. Her smile now was warmer, at least for her, giving him a slight nod, before she exited the office. The two women would receive  that same slight nod, before she stepped out back onto the street.

Alice watches Bubbles expression and realizing a nod was the only thing she would get, decided to just let it go. Jerks her head to the door to Nick's office opening up and stares at their expressions but stands herself putting on a fake smile. "Have a lovely day Miss...take care." She bowed her head tapping her finger on the desk so she wouldn't see it from behind the monitor of her computer. Alice's curiosity was getting the better of her and wanted to know what happened but kept her mouth shut.

Ɓυввℓєѕ shifted on the arm of the couch, fiddling with her ring, as was her habit, and looked up as she heard Nick's office door click and open. She straightened up a little and would give the woman a polite smile in return to her nod, and watching as she made her way out of the door. Once she was gone, Bubbles stood and made her way towards the now open door of Nick's office. Stepping inside. "You know you shouldn't work so hard on a Sunday babe." She grinned at him as she stepped towards him.

Nick smiled as Bubbles stepped towards him and he took her hand and leaned in to kiss her lips briefly.  "We need to talk. Alice, could you bring Bubbles some coffee."  Motioning to the chair, he encouraged Bubbles to sit, then waited for Alice to enter the room, when she did he would instruct her to close the door so the three were alone in the room.

Alice jumps nodding her head listening to her boss without being a smartass for once. She fixed bubbles a cup with cream and sugar on the side with a spoon for her. Hurrying inside she handed the coffee to the Fae smiling, then blinks turning closing the door so they were all in the room. "Um...is everything alright Sir?"

Ɓυввℓєѕ returned his kiss softly then gave him an odd look, tilting her head to the side inquisitively as he informed her they needed to talk. She took a seat in the chair opposite his desk and tucker her leg up underneath her as she curled a lock of hair around her finger. She took the cup of coffee from Alice, still avoiding any eye contact with her, feeling her fingers tremble a little as the woman was close. Not knowing if it were rage or fear or something else. She shrugged it off and watched as he closed the door behind Alice, wondering what it could possibly be about. She was sure there couldn't have been any news on the break in so quickly, and this seemed to be more serious than that, and apparently required the absolute privacy of his soundproofed office. "What is it baby?" She questioned him as she frowned and blew on her hot coffee.

Nick didn't sit but moved to lean against the edge of the desk, sighing before he ran a hand across his jaw thoughtfully.  "Okay so here's the deal.  The woman is the new chief of police, she's also a hunter and I now have my assignment.  I've been asked to gather all the information I can about all supernaturals in the community.  This mean you now have your new assignment Alice, you will report to me the presents of any supernatural.  You will text my phone letting me know who's near and if you can what type they are.  I figured I wouldn't be asked to kill or actually hunt.  You do this for me Alice and I'll release you just as I promised.  I informed the woman that you aren't to be trusted, if she follows protocol she will inform all of the other hunters that you are a vampire and if your kind hears about it you will be known as someone who is working for me against her will.  I hope this keeps you safe."  He sighed again, then turned to Bubbles.  "And...I told her what you are..." He paused, waiting for a reaction.

Alice blinks just standing there listening growing already colder and groans. "Well fuckkkk...make my job harder why don't you?" Runs her own fingers through her hair thinking. "There's so many...jesus.." Jerks her head up staring at him. "Tck...I doubt that'll keep me safe...I don't want any other vampires knowing where I am..." She trailed off. She ran away after all from her old Master after she begged to be turned by one of his trusted friends. "Don't tell them..." She almost showed emotion keeping it in check as she rubbed the cuffs. "I'll still do the job though..."

Ɓυввℓєѕ listened as Nick explained about the woman to them. She wasn't surprised to hear she was a hunter. In her mind, she figured that anyone who would want to be a chief of police on an Island predominantly inhabited by supernaturals must have some desire to exert some power over them. But that was only her opinion. As Nick finished explaining and addressed Bubbles, her face dropped a little as he announced that he had exposed the truth about her to the woman. "I..... But why would you....." Her words trailed off and she couldn't complete a sentence. All these years in hiding - successfully hiding, who and what she was and now the truth was starting to spread. She couldn't understand why he would have told her.... Hell, Nick was the one who had been so worried about people finding out when HE had first found out himself. And now he would go telling, not just anyone, but the chief of police - a hunter, no less! "What did she.... I mean... " She sighed, taking a breath to try and gather her thoughts. "What was her reaction? And I'm confused, she is a Supernatural herself isn't she ?" She then looked towards Alice, making eye contact with her for the first time, not wanting to address her but needing Alice to confirm what Bubbles thought she had sensed. "Isn't she?"

Nick smacked his palm on the desk, "Okay listen to me, both of you.  This is not the time to freak out and talk about the woulda shoulda coulda's.  If neither of you notice we're living in the aftermath of a shitty war that clearly had no winners.  You think everyone is just going to dismiss their losses, pick up their toys and go home? No they're not.  And we're not here on this fuckin island on a vacation get away.  We do what we need to do, we stay alive then we get the fuck out of here."  Gathering himself he ran his hand over his face then blew out a breath. "She needed a proof of loyalty.  If I had tried to keep that secret and she discovered different she'd have me killed as a traitor. Right now she thinks you're clueless and are under the impression no one knows about you.  I asked her to keep it quiet for now so I can get what I can from you.  What I am going to need you to do is find your kind and try to polish up what skills you have.  Right now only the hunters know I'm a hunter, to everyone else  I am just a human who practice law.  We need to make sure we have the upper hand and the best way to do that is to play our roles.  Yes?"

Alice looked to Bubbles and shook her head. "No...she's definitely human...though something still seems off about her.." She shrugged sighing out of habit. "I have no fucking idea what to make of her..." Snaps her attention back to the boss man listening to him as she nodded deflating some. "As you command Sir...hopefully there are some vampires who don't know my...nothing...I'll hone my skills..." She rubbed her arm knowing he was right but she still dreaded making any contact with another of her kind. "This will be...fun." Alice shrugged. "can't wait.."

Ɓυввℓєѕ frowned as Alice informed her that was wrong, and the woman was in fact a human. She was confused and couldn't figure out what it was she had sensed about the woman. But since the day before, all of her senses had been jumbled and confused, maybe it was just that. Bubbles jumped as Nick's hand hit the desk. His tone changing completely to what it was before. And she just sat and nodded as she spoke. She worried. Worried for him mainly. What would it mean for him if she was outed completely as a Fae. What would it mean for them as a couple. She couldn't think straight at all. Play our roles? Find your kind? What did he mean - That she would have to go and live among the rest of the Fae? Train her magic ? She looked at him with an expression of confusion and worry but not wanting to speak, and not knowing what to say.

Nick wasn't pleased that Bubbles hadn't responded but he gave Alice a nod. "This shouldn't be an issue.  She knows nothing about us except what I told her, if she trusts me, she'll rely on me for information which means I can spoon feed her whatever I want.  Bubbles, I'm going to need you to find your kind as well and do the same as Alice.  I am not aware of what it is you can or can't do but I could use your skills.  I know I am asking a lot but if you love me and you truly want 'us' you're going to have to help me keep us safe. Can you do this mine?"  He let her think about his request while he turned back to Alice, "Let's start with that talkative DJ.  Find out what he is and we will give the hunter that info for now, to appease her."

Alice actually felt sorry for the Fae which was way out of her comfort zone and messed with the cuffs on impulse. She wondered if the girl even knew where other faes were. Turning her attention back to Nick, Alice understood nodding. "I believe he's a demon...maybe fire, I smell ash...and smoke but I'll talk to him Sir." Wondered if now she should leave the two alone or not and knew she had to broaden her senses to alot more people than just Nick and Bubbles now.

Ɓυввℓєѕ sat quietly, listening again as he spoke. Find her own kind - how would she even do that. She knew it couldn't be as easy as just walking up to them and saying, "Hey, I'm a Fae too - accept me!" Especially if any of them knew or suspected she'd been trying to hide her true identity. Which, of course, they would. Why else would a Faerie of her age have completely untrained and little to no knowledge of her own abilities. She loved him, of course she loved him and she wanted to do whatever it took to make them work. But she still worried about the repercussions for him when it eventually came out that he had been living with a Supernatural for all these years. She didn't even know how or where she would find other Fae. She sighed softly when the exchange between he and Alice was over and spoke quietly as she looked down at her hands. "I'll do it... For you."
