Nick's Angel RP

 

There was impact.  

He felt it and the revelation was enough to knock his senses from him.  He hit earth, solid, but not in the fashion he

was accustom to...nah this rebellion was met with tangible disapproval.  
When he hit the ground, the earth seemed to eagerly meet him and, lacking any grace, he fell on his face, his jaw

cracking first and the rest of his body following.  
He was like a ragdoll, tossed and forgotten and he took a moment and laid there in his humiliation. Blood burst into

his mouth and eyes as his skull fractured.  
 
He laid motionless, his limbs heavy, like bags of wet sand and his wings were the last to settle.  The feathers rested across his body and laid defeated on his exposed cheek.  
It was that intimate touch that brought his eyes to open.
The blue of his gaze lost none of its fierceness and his vitality could be seen in the vast paleness.  
He pulled in a breath through his nostrils and his chest rose and fell....

He remembered the presence of the Lord around him and the audible righteous anger and...disappointment?

Standing in the court of the Lord, Nichollas remembered drawing back his shoulders while his fist tightened.  He was pure strength and fearlessness.  He'd fought endless battles.  He recalled plummeting to earth amidst the throngs of demons that laid in his wake, his excitement pounding in his ears and bring a cry from his lips as he engaged in a battle of light and dark, along side Micheal.  He would attempt to pattern himself off of Micheal's brilliance and unwavering commitment and he knew his appearance was something fierce.

"Explain yourself, Nichollas."
The voice was tremendous and near deafening in strength and it had engulfed him with the light and brilliant wonder that was Heaven.
"I've come to ask...I would like..." He faltered, but such weakness was rare for him and he recovered quickly.  "I request permission to fall to earth."

Micheal was there, he was always there, and he spoke quickly.  "You wish to go to earth?"
Nichollas opened his mouth to speak but Micheal interceded.  "Lucifer asked the same...to appease his own ambitions, isn't this true?"
Nichollas flinched. "It is true...the demons know this, the humans know this, so why are you boring us with common knowledge?"
Micheal had reacted just as Nichollas expected.  It only took seconds for him to be standing face to face with Nichollas, his stance just as bold and just as intimidating. "Is that it Nichollas? Are you bored?"

In the fashion of arch angels, Nichollas met righteousness with righteousness, his countenance bristling as he sneered, "If I am it is you who bore me...and my plea is not with you, I've come to speak with I Am."
Again the Lord spoke, "Then lay out your case, Nichollas.  Why do you wish to go to earth?"
 Nichollas dropped to his knee and his black hair fell around his face as he bowed his head respectfully.  "I wish to take charge of a human, I wish to be her guardian."
Micheal stiffened and his body seemed to come alive with indignation, "Nichollas is no guardian!  He is being seduced, drawn towards the darkness."
"And if he is," the voice boomed, " then let him share in the fate of those who are so easily seduced."

And then Nichollas was falling.  Dropping to earth like a comet and when next he opened his eyes, he was laying in the dirt.

It took his body a moment before his healing factors kicked in and he heard an audible sizzling as his skull and bones reassembled.  Rising, he spat out the blood, then looked around him before glancing upward at the dark vast sky.
He was alone but no fear seize him, no sense of doubt as he unfurled his wings, a spasm of movement rustling through them causing dust to dance in the air.
